Dr Surrusco is the best doctor I have seen. Not only is he concentrating on resolving my physical issue; he is also working on the root cause. But now, Doctor has introduced me to the importance of nutrition and has created an exceptional meal and vitamin plan specific to my needs. I’ve been going to Clarendon Chiropractic for about 2 months now. I initially sought them out for functional medicine, but ended up moving to them for Chiropractic care as well. I’ve been happy with the service and results so far, and am excited to continue working with them. For both functional medicine and chiropractic care Dr. Surrusco’s approach was to listen and really understand my concerns and objectively identify a baseline. This involved things like an Insights scan, X-ray, and bloodwork. I really liked having data to work with, especially as a way to check progress we are making as I go through my treatment plan. I appreciate that he wanted to see what he was working with and any limitations to care before committing to a plan. He was extremely knowledgeable about cross reactivity related to celiac disease and the bloodwork he ordered was informative and helped identify the underlying cause of symptoms I had been experiencing. I also appreciated that he really took the time to explain results and make sure I understood what it meant. I never feel rushed or like I’m not a priority. The adjustments are the best I’ve ever experienced (I’ve been to 3 other chiropractors over the years). Prior to the adjustment I do muscle stims with heat to warm up the body before adjusting. It’s the most relaxing part of my day. Once all assessments were done, he created a treatment plan that was thoughtful and explained how we will check progress along the way. During this time he also makes sure that that your body responds to the first few adjustments. He truly wanted to make sure he could help and not just go through the motions. Jill, the office manager, gave me a calendar to outline how often we would meet and at what point we would check progress. Scheduling appointments is easy and she really tries to work with you to fit the appointments into your life and not add stress. She also coordinates any external appointments you need (x-rays, bloodwork) which is extremely helpful. As someone with Celiac disease, food is my medicine. Dr. Surrusco’s customized meal plan he created as part of my treatment gave me recipes and ideas which made it easier to ensure I was eating the right things for healing. If you are on the fence I recommend coming in for a consult, as this really gave me a chance to see what they could do for me without commitment. Less

I have been to lots of different chiropractors you can see, but I have been seeing Dr. Surrusco and he is great! I've been trying to find proper treatment for a shoulder injury and neck tightness for a while now and after going through a number of different treatments (physical therapy, acupuncture, etc), Doctor Surrusco at Clarendon Chiropractic has finally given me longer lasting relief. He's precise, thorough and consistent in his treatment. Very worth my 40 minute commute from Chicago, IL to come here. Less
