Horrible business enough said

This is a metal recycling company. They are very irresponsible in paying out the people. The business is for the public to come recycle their metal and get cash paid out on the spot. This business is not doing that. They are telling everyone that there is no cash and to come back “tomorrow.” Next day comes and it’s the same story. This is not fair for people because most of them are low income and they need this money for their food, bills, or to just get by. There’s been some gentlemen that have no been paid out in WEEKS! this is not fair and they should be closed down if they don’t have money to operate. Second day in a row they say they do not have money to pay for the metal they took from me. From my understanding they would have money the next day. I feel as if I am getting the run around. Overall bad business practices to take and not give what they are profiting from. When asking the employees I feel bad they are put in a position to deal with upset individuals that are expecting money . I can only imagine how others are talking to them,I'm more on the nicer side and don't blame them at all. Knowing what I know now I would not recommend anyone to come here to sell scrap as you will have time wasted with non of the money owed to you in your hand. I guess small claims it is. Less

Primarily they are scamming people and not paying bills. Intentionally receiving material and issuing hot checks. Do not use these guys unless you want to deal with thieves.

It's been twice now that we have taken our recycle here and they run out of money. They keep making you call and come back 2/3 times to try to get your money before they run out again.

Do not waste your time going to this place they are beyond unprofessional. My husband and I went here on 6/18/24 with a 26 ft box full of broken appliances for scraps. On top of them not paying my husband I believe they cheated us out of money. After being weighed and dumping the scraps. My husband was told that they didn’t have the money to pay him they only had $60 and he would have to wait until tomorrow or he could pick his stuff back up. While at the window going back and forth with the cashier, a man approached the window with the same receipt they tried to give my husband. We then found out that they had told this man the same thing the previous day and still did not have the money to pay him either. My husband spoke on this and let them know he didn’t feel comfortable coming back and asked what if the same thing happens that’s happening to this man. He was again told he could get his stuff back which was impossible at this point. Then my husband asked to speak to someone else and the lady left and came back and asked would he take a check. After taking the check my husband went to their bank to cash the check and the bank said they can’t cash the check due to account issues that they couldn’t discuss with him and gave him a card. It’s obvious that it’s because they didn’t have money in the account. So not only did we waste our time and gas we were robbed for our items because we still have not been paid. Also their scale does not show you your weight like some of the other scrap yards so your basically just hoping they are being honest about your weight. If I could have given them no stars I would. This place is good if your in a rush and don't have time to go someplace else. I suggest cyclone. They are better in prices by a bunch. It just takes time with cyclone. Mammoth seems to have issues keeping money in the drawers to pay people. They give you receipt and you have to come back later to collect your money. Maybe call b4 you go just so you no They have cash to pay you.

The founds of my check said they get the money back and I get no answer

I have been doing business with this company from when they began as Fox hall untill present. It's been around 13 years. They have always took good care of me and prices are normally better than most places.

This is. A good place to sell your scrap metal. Well keep...my complaint is there closing time ....small scale...5;00. Them boys are gone.....if you have folks inside your compound ..malke sure they are taking care. I just unloaded an they tell ll me th the scale is closed....what???I got pretty upset and I shouldn't have...a90% of the yards stay open till 6...but it a good. Clean operation

If I could I would give no starts. Worst please very unorganized, cheats you out of money, don’t pay attention if you go on scale. But in all I know the workers trying there best but they should have more then one person when cars are coming in. At least try make this place batter if you trying get Business.

Their scales are not accurate. I weighed my copper wire at home. When I got their the scales was off by 20 lbs. I took my stuff back home. Weighed on different scales and they said the same as my first scales. Look out cause they robbing folks

Ok just very hard to get in to deliver no one to really control the traffic. Yard is a dangerous mess metal sticking up everywhere. Office staff very professional and polite.
