I started CrossFit here a few months before my 40th birthday and it was one of the best decisions in my life. I’m 47 now and am in better shape now than when I started. I’m not sure where I’d be without CCBR. It’s become an integral part of my life and set the course for my nutrition and fitness. For me, nothing compares to CrossFit. It’s fun and working out with a group of friends makes you work harder, which makes you stronger and faster. CCBR coaches are the best and my favorites are all still there. Of course some weeks are better than others, but I feel great and feel strong and it’s thanks to CCBR!

​I cannot recommend CrossFit Central Burnet Road enough. Walking through these doors completely changed my life and redefined what fitness means to me. I came in with a goal, but also needed community and connections. This gym helped me with both.The coaches are world-class—not only do they ensure your technique is perfect, but they also take the time to understand your individual goals and actively help you crush them. Pair that with an amazing, community that celebrates every single victory with you, and you have a truly special place. It’s so much more than just a place to sweat; it’s an amazing environment that builds you up every day. I love this gym and all the people in it!

This gym and the amazing people who run it have changed my life. My fitness went downhill during the pandemic and I was nervous to address just how bad it got. But the coaches at this gym are so welcoming and supportive that I immediately felt at home despite never having lifted a barbell before. I’ve been so supported and encouraged and made to feel that my goals are worthy. I’ve been going to CrossFit central 3-6 times a week now for almost two years and I literally cannot imagine my life without this place and the people who make it feel like home. Time spent at this gym is my favorite time of the day. Thank you, CrossFit Central!Update from 2 years later: Still my favorite place in the city, hands down. It’s not a good day until I’ve been to my 9am hybrid class at CrossFit Central.

Very cool spot. It’s a welcoming and vibrant community with a ton of people. The coaches are engaged, convivial, stern when they need to be, and have been very gracious at letting me, an ole 🏈ballplayer open gym guy who does their own program, work around them without too much fuss. They are very engaged in the community and with charitable causes which is awesome to see and not something you see at every gym.It does tend to be a bit crowded most of the time, but that’s a credit to the coaching staff and owners because they keep people coming back. I’ve changed up my programming a bit so I can come in more days a week just because I enjoy the atmosphere and the energy because it motivates me to work harder.Haven’t tried any of their cold therapy or sauna stuff so can’t comment.Can’t say enough good things about them. Definitely stop by if you get the chance

I was in town over the weekend to visit family and dropped in at CrossFit Central Burnet Road for a morning class. This gym was great. Everyone was very friendly and Coach Carey was amazing. I highly recommend stopping in if you are in town or looking for a CF home. Thanks Carey!!

I’ve been a member of CrossFit central (Burnet Road) for over a year now and I must say it’s the best experience I’ve had. If you’re thinking about joining or if you’re just doing a drop in, here are some key points as to why you should choose CrossFit central.-The community is very friendly and welcoming. In both the CrossFit and Hybrid classes.-The staff is friendly, professional, and takes the time to analyze technique and gives you key tips in how to effectively improve your technique based on the movement.- They answer all questions and give positive feedback.- They treat all members like family.I’ve seen improvement in my Olympic weightlifting, gymnastic and CrossFit overall skills . On top of reaching all of my lifting goals. CrossFit central gave me the tools I needed to compete a level I did not expect to achieve and also to continue on growing in the sport as a whole.

Was there for the Deka Mile challenge. Overall good facility. The gym equipment was set up well. Personnel were very friendly and motivating. The only down was they didn't have any indoor restrooms, but they did have a porta potty out back for use.

I have been coming to crossfit central on Burnet Road for a little over a month now and I love it. I have tried crossfit in other locations before but no place has made me feel comfortable until I started coming to this location. If you are contemplating trying crossfit out, do it! I especially love that this location offers 5 a.m. classes which Camron coaches. There is no better feeling than completing a challenging workout before most people are awake!

Love, love CrossFit Central. I am 66 years young, and I thank CrossFit. I have been a member since 2009. I did take a reprieve in 2013 but realized that I needed the extreme support and motivation provided by all the coaches at Central. Their support goes beyond the gym, approaching each of their members on a personal basis empowering them to reach their full potential safely. Highly recommend for all ages and levels!
