Amazing gym - amazing coaches - amazing teammates and a very welcoming Environment. If you are thinking about getting into BJJ I highly recommend coming in to try it out - you will not regret it.
I started training at Worcester MMA just over 2 years ago now. The coaching staff is wise, engaged and committed. The fundamentals program is an excellent way to get started. Their kids program looks awesome as well, my little ones will be enrolled once they are old enough for sure! Great coaches, great training partners, great facility, I only have good things to say about WMMA. By far one of the best gyms I've ever trained at!
Been training here going on five years now. Best crew of people you never knew you were looking for in Worcester. Like a second family to me, but with less arguing at Thanksgiving.
Best BJJ in Central Mass, possibly the whole state!
My son absolutely loves this place. The coaches and staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Dan and Max have been so good to my son. My son respects them so much and I would recommend this place to kids or adults.
The most welcoming gym from the coaches to the members in it. Best room in the state to get quality knowledge and experience
Great facilities, coaches, curriculum. I have been training here for 2 years and it has been an amazing experience!
Excellent facilities with an even better coaching staff- love this place! OSS

Everyone at the academy says, "Keep showing up", so I do. "Your body will start to remember the technique ", and it does! The coaches LOVE to teach. They want you to succeed. They are approachable, knowledgeable are always available for questions (and dont mind repeating the same technique a million times during class 😄) I have met and trained with the most extraordinary men and women. Abusado Team has changed my life. These people are not only teammates but FAMILY. Forever Grateful. OSS Less
Love Worcester MMA! The training, the high-level and detailed coaching, and teammates make this place incredible! The pedigree and lineage (Renzo Gracie/ Matt Serra) under Dan Simmler, and now team of coaches make this place second to none here in New England. I've been training here since 2008 and now my kids also are training here with the kids team and love it! Highly recommend WMMA!!
I have trained at WMMA / Abusado Team for two years. I left left a disaster of a BJJ gym in Central Mass in order to join WMMA / Abusado Team. WMMA / Abusado Team is hands down the best place to train, with the most knowledgeable coaches, great students and fantastic camaraderie.
Great place for all ages.
Really well structured intro to BJJ system and great coaches. Everyone who goes here is also really sensible and respectful.
Great group of people, including the coaches. Especially if you're a first timer. Overall, the work out is challenging but if you keep at it you will notice small bits of improvements. My advice to it all is just take your time and enjoy the journey. OSS!
Amazing professor and group of people. There were lots of people at the classes and they were very welcoming to visitors!
I've been visiting the gym while on holiday from the UK. Everyone at the gym have been super welcoming and the level of BJJ is very high with great competitive rolls. I would highly recommend if you're in the area.
Just go. Stop putting it off. Go! You will not regret going. Coach Dan will walk you into BJJ. After 1st class you will want more.
Awesome coaches! Create way to teach the kiddos respect/self respect and give them an awesome challenge!
Not a member but would 10/10 recommend this place for anyone interested in learning the sport. Owner was friendly and extremely personable and the environment is unmatched! Anyone interested should come here you won’t regret it!
Worcester MMA is the real deal! I previously trained BJJ for two years in Illinois and lived in Worcester, MA for five months of training at work. When looking in the area for a good gym, I did not look any further than here due to the welcoming atmosphere and high-level talent on the mats. Coach Dan is an outstanding person that truly cares about the advancement of his students on and off the mats. There are a variety of students here with different skill sets from beginner white belts to advanced brown and black belts that are all willing to help you learn. Also, a great part of this school is the amount of live rolling you are able to do after each class. If I lived in Central Massachusetts all year round, this would be my school of choice! Less
Coach Dan and the staff at WMMA provided my sons with the best training bar none. Couldn’t recommend them more! Great atmosphere and respect among all I have met!
Walking into this place was the best thing i ever did. I found a place to lose weight, make friends and become more confident with my ability to defend myself.
There are a wide variety of classes to choose from. Coach Dan and the other coaches and higher belts are very helpful, and really love and understand the sport. Not only is it an excellent workout, but you learn valuable self defense skills should the need arise. The vibe is always awesome and the people truly want to be there. A+
Coach Dan is an excellent instructor and has established a team where each training partner supports others to grow, achieve success or simply train today to be better than yesterday. Just starting out, have been training for some time, for children or for adults, male or female, I recommend WMMA for all.
I had the privilege of training with Dan and his group and I was extremely impressed. Everyone is down to earth and very welcoming. Daniel is a very knowledgable and talented practitioner of the art and is very gifted at it. He spreads his patience and knowledge onto his students and they too fall in love with the art and become talented martial artists themselves.
Had my son's "ninja" birthday party here recently and it was fantastic. Coach Dan and the other coaches were wonderful with the kids and the space was really large which was really great for the parents and large party.
I was able to train here for about a week while visiting family in the area. What an amazing place to train! Excellent instructors, great vibe, and everyone is super friendly. Thank you so much the chance to train you all, see you next summer!
Great atmosphere of like minded folks. Everyone works hard, and the higher belts are there to help you tighten up. Coach Dan is an incredible martial artist and even better coach from what I've seen of him over the years.
Very high level instructor & everyone is welcoming to New students.
Amazing school and great workout. Lost 40lbs in a few months and learned some valuable skills in the process. The people I train with are awesome and you always leave the class learning something new. Coaches are excellent at teaching. 10/10 would roll again.

The instruction, technique, environment and group of individuals that make up Team Abusado is first rate. Coach Dan is a phenomenal grappler. However, training martial arts is so much more about learning techniques. There are no egos here. Everyone is there to help one another out. You can roll hard and battle with a teammate and when the bell rings, you can exchange questions and ideas about certain positions. People are extremely open and friendly. Whether you want to compete, want to get in better shape or want something for self-interest or a new hobby I highly recommend coming to WMMA. There are kids classes and great instructors who guide them. I personally have so much respect and gratitude for Coach Dan and my teammates. You don't have to be any type of person to roll jiu Jitsu. Big, small, young, old, man or woman; jiu jitsu is an all emcompassing and all welcoming martial art. Hope to see you soon!! Less
If your looking for a comfortable place to train, with unbelievably supportive teammates and super knowledgeable coaches this is the place. There's no pressure to be more than you are capable of being, but they always make you stop and think..."Am I giving it my all?"
The best place to train MMA, awesome staff and very friendly and respectful.
This is the best place for quick, hands-on learning. The instructors are friendly, knowledgable and extremely helpful. Coach Dan and company are a force to be reckoned with!

Great coaches and teammates one big family. My 6 year old daughter trains there and she looks forward to training everyday.
My daughter has been a student at WMMA for about 1 1/2 and continues to thrive with each class. Coach Dan is amazing as well as all of the other instructors. He is extremely skilled and very encouraging. He is the best at what he does.
Best Jiu jitsu school in New England! Competitive but friendly atmosphere, great instruction, clean equipment/facility.
Fantastic can't wait to attend some more classes.
Instructor is a serious competitor and talented Martial artist
Awesome coach, and an awesome team!!!!
