Amazing experience! I dropped in from out of town while I was home for the holiday and was blown away by this gym. The members were welcoming, kind, and made me one of their own while I was there. Just moved to the area and Revival is the first box I dropped into. Everyone was so friendly and the wod was a burner! Felt awesome.

I dropped in for a WOD and was very impressed. The facility is really clean and well organized. There’s plenty of circulation and space for groups of about a dozen. Gardner was coaching - that dude’s a beast! The other members were welcoming and friendly too, even though I was a complete stranger. 10/10 will WOD again!

Dropped in for a class over the weekend with my husband who is a member. Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. The coaches walked through the workout in detail and were engaging and helpful throughout. Had an awesome workout, would definitely go back!

Three weeks in and my only regret is not joining sooner. Taylor provided three separate one on one training sessions to ensure I was familiar with all movements prior to officially starting. Coaches and members have all been helpful and welcoming.

I’m still relatively new (only been going 3 weeks now) to Revival Fitness but would like to express how satisfied I’ve been and detail the wonderful experience. Sign up process: I think I initially inquired way back when it was called Crofton CrossFit (yes I procrastinated awhile). I inquired recently and immediately within 3-4 hrs got a text. I communicated with Taylor on text msg and she sent me all the applicable info. I knew a little bit about CrossFit and what some of my goals/pricing could potentially be so I didn’t have a ton of questions, but any I did were answered quickly and in a robust manner. This is not the typical gym sign up process where they are just trying to get you to sign up to make a quota. They genuinely seem like they want to make sure you want to sign up and stay for the med/long term. Classes: As a newbie the classes especially the full ones can be a little chaotic making sure you have the right equipment and a box. But the app always has the list of exercises beforehand so if you come in prepared knowing what you need it should go smoothly. Also again this isn’t a regular gym where most ppl are unwilling or reluctant to share equipment, if you don’t have a bike or spot for pull ups everyone is ready and willing to switch out with you. As someone who has worked out regularly for years one thing I underestimated is how much I enjoy them planning the workouts for me. Additionally, given it is a class setting I underestimated how much I enjoy seeing how other ppl do and trying to push myself during the workout. The partner workouts are lowkey fun. Pricing: Yes, CrossFit gyms are more expensive than a regular gym but they are two different products. They give you the option of an intro pricing package for 3 months that’s slightly discounted and then it’s all month to month after that(no contract), again it seems like they only want you paying if you actually want to be here. I think if you can get over the slight sticker shock you might have the individual workouts would breakdown to be about $15-$20 a workout, which is fair for what you get. Overall I’m extremely satisfied and look forward to learning and improving my CrossFit workouts. Less

My husband and I did a drop in on a Saturday class. Loved the workout, it was partner style my favorite. Coach did a great job getting us warmed up and friendly. The facility is large and had rigs on both side so you definitely have your own space.

Zero input from the members doing the workout. 100% just whatever the coach is feeling…who isn’t doing the workout. I have been debating writing this review for several months. I have reached out to Revival staff to get some clarification but was essentially stonewalled. I am attempting to write this anonymously, so I am not stigmatized by owners/staff/coaches/members. The positives are clear at Revival. There is really good programming. A weekly document is sent out with every workout for all the class types including warmup, scaling, and targeted stimulus. The equipment (bars, weights, cardio machines etc) is pretty good. I think the space constraint limits having a few more bikes/skiergs so there will be times when the class is mostly full, but you can’t do the intended cardio portion because there are no more bikes (not really an issue). Another positive is the mentality/intentionality of the coaches towards the planned workouts. For the most part, the coaches know what they are doing. There have been instances where a (not new) coach has to ask a class participant how to do a movement/exercise which was weird to me. The negatives are bit lengthier though. Good intentionality in the coaches does not excuse behavior or expressed opinion. Since I am paying them, I do expect a reasonable level of professionalism. Being told that your mentality and approach to working out does not align with a specific coach seems kind of beyond what you are paying them for. Being told your opinion is not valid or wanted because they do not know you and your workout experience seems even further out of bounds. Being told you need to do movements/stretches a certain way (even though you know it increases the risk of injury) just to satisfy their ego is not professional. Being aggressively approached as soon as I enter the box followed by aggressively being talked down to is plain hostile. Like I said, a few bad experiences in a short period of time can really sour your opinion of a place/group/person. After the experiences mentioned, there has been an overt change in the interaction of the three coaches with me. I have experienced within the last two weeks a coach being very excited and engaged with another member. As soon as that coach’s attention changes to me, their behavior becomes subdued and ambivalent. A secondary, and less bothersome, issue relates to the general space. Being a cinderblock building, there is echo when talking. Some coaches take after the school of Ranger Carl from Parks or April Ludgate: literal shouting when you are standing right next to them or basically whispering when they are talking to the class and the music is up. My last issue relates to one of the positives: the programming. The nature of crossfit seems to require proficiency in a broad range of skills/movement resulting in what I have found to be little progression in any one area or subarea. There have been seminars to learn/practice specific skills such as handstand, rowing, GHDs, rope climbing etc. But the occurrence is like one seminar every 2-3 months. This infrequency results in new members not being taught a skill and a big lack of time to practice. I hear at least once a week a coach says “if you haven’t done GHDs, you are not doing them today” regardless of if you can do them. Every coach I have heard mention Rhabdomyolysis always does this in relation to GHDs. Considering what Rhabdomyolysis is caused by, there is a serious lack of caution provided by every coach I have had at Revival regarding Rhabdomyolysis (ie higher repetition at lighter loads which is basically every MetCon I have done there). I love Revival Fitness. My workouts used to be only cardio. I was so tired of them. I always wanted to do weight lifts, but I did not know how. I am starting to learn how to do it and I love it. All the staff is great, so patient. All people are very nice and welcome. I really recommend this place.

Phenomenal CF gym and excellent coaching staff (thanks Taylor)! Visiting from out of town and dropped in for a workout. Immediately welcomed and enjoyed the class! Will be back and recommend to anyone whether looking to join or just passing through.

Great CrossFit experience. Not all CF gyms provide comprehensive instruction and make sure you're performing all the movements correctly preventing injury, Revival checks those boxes! True professionals that don't make you feel like you're out of place and helpful with very work out.

I've been going to this gym for a little over a year and cannot recommend it enough. I was hesitant at first (didn't know too much about Crossfit), but I wish I had started sooner. Every single workout is fantastic. If you are in a rut or looking to get in better shape, just give it a try. The workouts accommodate all different levels of fitness. Great workouts, great coaches, great people.

The trainers are very helpful. They are always willing to help you out and teach proper techniques. They have decent COVID protocols with smaller classes well spaced out and a good cleaning policy. The WODIFY app used to schedule classes is easy enough. Haven't had any issues seeing available spots and picking or changing times.

I’ve tried out other CrossFit gyms and I hated it. It sounds cliche but this place is different. Everyone is nice and the coaches are great. They break down the lifts and movements for rookies. Additionally, they always provide great scaling options for exercises that are difficult to preform.

Signed up and ended up going hard for awhile, fell off the wagon and staff would give me a call to check up on me. Super helpful team, great community. I'm still fat, but only because I'm lazy!

Since I joined I was welcomed and felt at home. The coaches are great and will help modify a work out as needed and push you when needed. I have improved all my Olympic lift, and improved my cardiovascular.

I love this place. I make sure I drop in every time I am in town. Very welcoming staff and members. Workouts are programmed well and typically have a good amount of cardio and strength. If I lived in the area this is where I would be a full time member and I recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a good workout!

My Fiancé decided we should try something different, so we stopped by "Crofton Crossfit" to see what it was all about... It's about community and camaraderie. Not only does the staff actually care, but they are extremely knowledgeable and they all have multiple disciplines and backgrounds that are helpful at different times in your workout.
