I came to Empire with Sciatica. I could barely walk without a high degree of pain in my left leg. The first day I went to Empire I walked out pain free, but the pain came back, only not as bad. Over the next few weeks, the pain reduced little by little. We are now working on strengthening weaknesses that I have in my body to keep the pain away completely and permanently. I started st Empire Physical Therapy on March 1st. My goal was to prepare for a total knee replacement. I had advanced arthritis in both knees. During the therapy I learned that I also had several issues regarding my back including herniated disks. David Stedjan addressed all of the other issues, prepared me for the total knee replacement surgery so that when I was operated on I was prepared not just physically but emotionally as well. He gave me the courage to schedule the surgery. The personal care I received at Empire is extraordinary. I have been to many physical therapists over the years and no one compares to the care at Empire. I feel secure and cared for and the atmosphere is friendly and fun.
