I woke up, sometimes with a migraine, and the remainder of the days, crossing my fingers I would not develop a migraine throughout the day. I had a Hemorrhagic stroke October 8th, 2019. It left me completely paralyzed on the left side. I was in 60 days of Inpatient therapy at a place called On With Life in Ankeny Iowa. Needless to say, I was not in good shape, but was told if I work hard I will get back most of what I lost. After impatient, I was sent home to do outpatient until December 2020. I was told that my year of therapy was paid up and I would have to keep working on my own. I got 80% of my left leg back but only 30% of my arm back. On 12/17/2020 I had my first day of care. I noticed much change the first two weeks. I was overly tired and sore. I have really started to feel the improvements, as my knee is starting to become more natural when walking and my arm mobility is improving. I’m getting gains every day. The care I've received at Trillium has surpassed excellence. Dr. Kalan is wise, caring and compassionate. I couldn't even walk the first time I saw him and was skeptical about Nucca. However, within three days, I started feeling better and progressively improved. Dr. Kalan provided education post treatment to guide my recovery.
