They did the CT without giving me estimate and when I was leaving the clinic I was handed over a bill of more than $200. The crack on my tooth was big enough to see in xray or simply with naked eye. When I returned back to them after my root canal for crown, I was told I had to take a consultation appointment first before the crown appointment, even though they initially told me that I would come back to them for crown because they already knew I had cracked tooth and going for RCT. Doctors need to think more than money. We trust them because they are doctors and not profit centers. Less

Best dentist I have ever been to. I am very sensitive, to dental work especially as I suffer from migraines due to a childhood head injury. These guys worked with me to make sure they caused me as little pain and anxiety as possible, going so far as to making sure the doctor did my cleanings in the beginning (this was years ago.) I can now get cleanings like a normal person, without stress or anxiety. They really go out of their way to make you comfortable and accommodate all your needs, physical and emotional. We had just moved here to Brentwood from Ohio, when in April 2020 during the pandemic lockdown we found Balfour Dental, Dr. Sien and Dr. Rayani because they were the only dentist we found willing and available to see me for my denture implant emergency. Now they are our family dentist due to the following reasons: 1. Good helpful staff 2. Very modern equipment 3. They will give you option of choices 4. If you ask questions or ask to clarify things of concern they gladly answer and explain 5. Dr. Sien provides good preventive care, pointing out possible issues and options for treatment. In addition, I hope as part of my care, they will also be able to watch out for my overall health as could be gleaned from my dental health (?), if that’s possible, and also help manage more affordable cost for me, at my senior age. 2022 Add: I trust the care of my teeth to Balfour Dental. Being there just the other day reminded me again of why I do. As a team, from regular cleaning with dental health reviews, to procedures to address any teeth needing treatment, the dental assistants and the doctors/dentists do a thorough evaluation then propose treatment for my agreement. I underwent procedure to replace some very old crowns I had at my molars, and they were very attentive to my comfort during the procedure, but specially to doing a good job of making sure everything including fitting my crowns were done right. Appreciate their care! 2021 Orig: A friend recommended Balfour Dental to us after we just moved to Brentwood. And we have not been disappointed. A shout-out to them (i.e. a compliment) for coming to my husband’s ‘rescue’ during the lockdown when his implant came loose and no other clinic would service him because it was not an ‘emergency’ (defined as having pain or bleeding etc). But to my husband it was obviously an emergency because his denture would not be able to be held in place with one implant loose and he wouldn’t thus be able to eat/chew! Balfour Dental (thank you so much Dr Rayani and Dr Siao!) understood and went out of their way to accommodate our need despite us not even being registered patients of theirs yet. So kind! After clinics opened up they were then able to give a more thorough follow-up abs we have been going to them now. **UPDATE** I'm currently getting my orthodontic work done here, and my son and I always enjoy our cleanings, as we learn something new, but they're very meticulous. I always enjoy the way my teeth look after! My family and I have been going here for a couple of years now, feel bad I'm just doing a review but after a recent experience I definitely had to. I have had several anxiety with regards to going to the dentist, some horrible experiences as a child and teen. Dr Rayani is my favorite, talking me through everything and reminding me to breathe and working with my budget. Dr. Saio has been nice in the past as well. My son knocked out his front adult tooth, I immediately called the office and the call was forwarded to them. If it was not for their instruction I don't know what we would've done. We went to the ER and they didn't do much (no xrays or medication prep) and they didn't provide any instruction beyond "you should see your dentist in two days". I truly feel like my son was made a priority at Balfour Dental during this time because this is not some "quick fix". What mother doesn't want that? Well worth the drive from Hercules. Less

The environment and atmosphere are welcoming and inviting. The staff (especially the RDH's and Docs) are personable. If ever you experience a challenge, they try to make it right. UPDATE: Sometimes they're successful, sometimes they're not. In my case, it's mid-way. After I got out of my braces for a 2nd time and (this time) did everything right (meaning I wore my retainers all the time, except when eating. I even stepped up my already excellent oral hygiene practices). But last winter (Dec 2019)- I had to go back into braces for a 3rd time because not all of the spaces closed like (I was told they would) they were supposed to and because the alignment of my teeth are slightly off, I would always bite the inside of my lip and jaw on the right side when I was chewing my food. There was also an issue with my ex's dental insurance that came about several months after my daughter and I had some other dental services completed wherein a balance due surfaced that I'm paying on but that's not an issue - those things happen. I just don't want to live the rest of my life in braces. I had a beautiful smile 10 years ago but because of TMJ - I'm paying the price now. But I do love them all and they are great! Less
