My husband & I have enjoyed two delicious dinners at Martha’s Kitchen. Be sure to try the fried chicken that has hot honey on it!! Two very large pieces that I can never finish!! LOVE the mashed potatoes and gravy and we have tried many of the veggies which are always cooked to perfection. We have had Megan as our server both times and she is as pleasant as they come!! We really like her and always feel right at home here. Hats off to the chef, Brandon for awesome food. We are going to stop by next time for breakfast!! A trip through NK brought us to Martha's Kitchen. A most delicious lunch menu to choose from. We enjoyed the bread basket appetizer, then the meatloaf with three generous sides each; carrots,green beans, cheesy grits, mashed potatoes and garlic biscuits. My friend and I couldn't decide where to eat, so we ended up trying Martha's kitchen. Our waitress, Megan, was very polite and attentive. After looking at the menu, I was a little skeptical about the pricing, but after seeing the portion size, it's well worth the price. My friend got the fried chicken, which was so flavorful. It was not dried out or overcooked. It also came with a hot honey, which was very tasty with a little kick of heat at the end. I got the catfish which was also full of flavor. I am very picky about tartar sauce, but absolutely loved the tartar sauce they provide on the side for dipping. The collard greens were sweet but had a hint of spice to them, and the macaroni was amazing. I think this has become one of my favorite places to eat thus far in New Kent. Visited this restaurant for the first time this week for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the hot honey chicken breasts which came with three sides. I picked Mac and cheese, collard greens, and mashed potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Our server was also very attentive and friendly.
