What an awesome find. Mason Mountain Mine was recommend by everyone at the hotel we were staying at and the place did not disappoint.Start at the beautiful gift shop to sign in and get a quick lesson on what to look for.Then make your way to the flume area to meet "Flume Master", Dale and his young pup, Pearl. He'll help set you up with everything you'll need and he'll help you along the way.Relaxing, easy to do and even more fun when you find something cool.The wife found a 181ct ruby as well as some Rhodolite garnets.In the end, we were wore out but very happy with our stay at the mine.I highly recommend stopping by to try it because I know the wife and I are coming back.

Most awesome place to mine! My son and I found alot of rubies. I have had a ring made from one of mine. The owners and their employees are the nicest people you will ever meet. Hands down nicest place on earth. They make you feel like part of their family.
