I love CFI. The environment is unlike any other gym we have ever been a part of. The coaches and fellow members are inspiring and supportive. Everyone is welcoming and helpful. I love crossfit in general because it takes me out of my comfort zone and helps me grow in health and as a person. The coaches are always willing to help with modifiers to help you get a challenging workout in without (further) injuring yourself. My favorite part is that it's only one hour and they tell you what to do! No more decision making for a busy, working mama! CFI has a real sense of community. At CFI, you’re surrounded and supported by a community of people who choose to show up and get better every day — and from different walks of life/levels in their fitness. Even though I have a lotta love for the 6pm crew and Sunday Fundays, I so enjoy when we all come together for things like Murph, SOGO, the Open, and more. CFI is the longest standing continuous membership I’ve had — I definitely had to push through the “I have no idea how to do [X, Y, Z] in the workout today” and “I don’t know if I’m feeling it” thoughts in the beginning, but it’s worth it. One of the things that I really love and appreciate about the box is that I never feel bad if I have to take time off to deal with something and I always pick up right where I left off with not only the coaches, but also the other members. One of the things that the coaches do well is foster an environment for friendship and camaraderie. In addition to that they are extremely professional and I feel safe when I am working out because they teach the movements clearly, but are also always watching and correcting. I asked for restitution 2+ years ago after a corrupt experience with Crossfit intent. They not only did not make restitution but I still get texts asking for my business like I did just now. I have told them more than once I am incensed after the lack of integrity by which this crossfit gym is run. Bob Fraterna, co owner two years ago lied about my final body fat numbers in order to fail me from completing the 20 lbs or 6% body fat loss (I had lost 18 lb so getting my $500 for the challenge back depended on reaching the bf goal. Despite him enlarging my numbers by 25% in certain areas and bringing this case to Jason after I had been measured elsewhere to prove the lie, they kept my money. They didn't keep their promises to the contract, body shamed me, and kept my money by a lie. Bob actually told me that "my legs had gained body fat because I had exercised extra." This was strictly following the prescribed diet and yes, exercising extra but I had already been working out 5-6 days a week before Crossfit so was used to that intensity. Exercising extra and following the diet strictly does not increase your body fat by 25+% in any area of your body. I am still waiting on my $500 back. All the other reviews are part of doing the "free" program I did. I marketed for Crossfit with reviews here, 18 Facebook posts, and followed the program and instead was rewarded with crookedness and corruption for my efforts. Less

I still wasn't where I wanted to be with working out on my own so I gave it shot. It didnt take long to realize I had a lot to learn. I thought I was already confident and in shape. I didnt expect this place and these people to change my life! It's so much more than lifting heavier weights and learning cool movements like handstand pushups and squat snatches. It's learning how to take care of your body, eat healthier, approach life with a positive mindset, and just overall wellness. The coaches are always there to support you, in and out of the gym, and answer any question big or small, or just to ask you how your day went. Being a part of this community is priceless. I’ve paid 125-300 a month at other boxes and I’m pretty sure you get a great value at this box. On another side note everyone thinks these gyms are huge money makers however they are not. They take many hours to operate taking you from your family. Only to be under appreciated by athletes that you pour your heart into. This review may be a touch personal however all issues can be remedied and the opinion of one person shouldn’t stop the next person from taking that first step to improving there life. Less

Integrity is why I have demoted my first review. I wrote a 5-star review at the beginning of my experience with Crossfit Intent because I loved the workouts. My end experience was not great however because Bob Fratena did my final weigh-in and caliper test and lied about my thigh numbers by 30 points higher on the % body fat higher than they were at the three week login! I had decided not to stay with Crossfit because it wasn't in my budget and Bob inflated my final caliper numbers on my thigh by an enormous amount. (I was told he didn't but with his degrees and his job, of course, he did.) When I questioned his weird stream of numbers, he tried shaming me saying he couldn't even get the calipers on me and that my workouts had increased my body fat by 30% points on my thighs than the 3-week mark. What a load of malarkey. I understand how body fat works and eating clean and working out did not increase my body fat 30%. I expected a fair competition. I had felt really good about the 18 pounds I lost and how I looked going into the final weigh in. I worked my tail off for the six-week challenge and instead of giving me my real results, he lied. After Bob's rudeness and lies, I questioned the integrity of it to Chad and I was pushed aside. Cara and Jason redid my calipers again to find my thigh numbers 25 and 23 points lower respectively, proving I was right. I am not a fitness newcomer. I told Crossfit I wanted an apology from Bob multiple times. Bob avoided me, not once taking responsibility for his intentional break with integrity and trying to blame me for it. I asked for some sort of action to be done and over the next three weeks, nothing was done to deal with an owner that lied about numbers. I should have been refunded over that stunt. I am honestly appalled and wonder how often this happens? Jason is great. I like him a lot. There are some cool people at Crossfit, but Bob should lose his license as a coach for that stunt. I would not choose this gym if I could afford it because of Bob's rude unethical treatment of me as a client. I expected a fair competition and received lies when it looked like I might make the final body fat numbers. Less

CrossFit is EXCELLENT!!!! I did the 6 week challenge, and the 1st day, I knew exactly where I had been going wrong with working out. Well, you can't do things like that with the challenge. You learn how to eat whole foods and how to nourish your body, not how to 'cheat the system'. I feel a difference on the inside, a clarity and serenity... it feels like my cells are happy. Every coach is GREAT. Sometimes, you go places and the staff is imbalanced (my daughter did Tae Kwan Do years ago and we loved the teacher that signed us up, but not one of the other teachers compared to him). No matter who was leading the class, my body was TORN UP at the end! I dreaded every single coach because they worked us out equally hard (but still not to the point of overdoing it for where YOU were at). I will be telling ALL of my friends about my experience with CrossFit Intent! I can't wait to do a video about it!!! The difference is not only internal, but external as well! I have been at CFI for two years now! The environment is very positive and friendly. I have never felt uncomfortable or out of place there. The coaches are amazing and so attentive to individuals and their needs. They focus on all aspects health, not just how much weight you can lift or how much weight you can lose. Crossfit Copley is an awesome place! I am a runner & have never done anything like this before. I was quite intimidated at the idea of doing this but the coaches & people that go there are fabulous. Everyone is so friendly! All the coaches know everyone's name & make a point of making sure everyone gets to know everyone else. The coaches are extremely qualified, all with four year degrees (or more!) in exercise, which as an RN I think this is very important in preventing injuries. The coaches are always making sure everyone is doing the exercises correctly & they are nothing but encouraging! AND I have only been going for a couple weeks & I already see an increase in muscle...woo hoo!!!!! This place ROCKS! I have been lucky enough to workout at CFC since the middle of December and I absolutely love it. I have tried other gyms, fitness centers and even Crossfit gyms and CFC is top notch. The coaches all have an extensive background in fitness and health and are always there help you with form or any other questions you have. This place ROCKS! I have been lucky enough to workout at CFC since the middle of December and I absolutely love it. I have tried other gyms, fitness centers and even Crossfit gyms and CFC is top notch. The coaches all have an extensive background in fitness and health and are always there help you with form or any other questions you have. Bob, Brian, Erin and Jason are also some of the friendliest people you will meet. There are always smiles and hellos when you walk through the door and they support not only the fitness end of Crossfit but they strive to build a community among their box of positively fit people. I haven't done a workout I didn't enjoy and I am sure they will continue to have creative and new ways to make the workouts fun. Overall a phenomenal place to be and workout! Less

The adrenaline rush is insane! Not only did the heavy lifting help to increase my muscle gain but also their education about proper nutrition. The coaches offer nutrition seminars to teach you about the proper diet. I learned the importance of protein for my muscles! CFC isn't just a gym. My fear was that I would encounter lots of beefed up body builder types (primarily male) and a coach that screamed while forcing me to lift more weight than I could handle! I'm happy to report that was NOT the case. Instead I met Jason and Brian, two highly qualified, very professional guys. They are passionate about what they do and are committed to changing lives. Crossfit Copley has clients from every walk of life and every fitness level. The coaches are excellent about accessing your fitness level and making appropriate modifications if necessary. I feel comfortable and trust their judgement. They are all about teaching the proper form and technique to avoid injury. Whatever your level of fitness and whatever your fitness goals are, Crossfit Copley will exceed your expectations. As someone who has exercised most of my life but has no weight lifting experience I very much appreciate their patience and dedication, in a small group community session which is close to personal training but without the personal trainer price tag. Crossfit Copley also offers nutrition guidance in the form of a nutrition seminar. Its not just about a whole body wokout, its also about feeding the body the nutrition it needs to maximise performance and results. The nutrition seminar bas been invaluable to me in my everyday life. So my advice is, if you are considering a change try Crossfit Copley .....its fun, challenging and a very positive experience. I'm so glad I did - all the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful - providing modifications if you can't do something yet and/or constantly correcting form to ensure you stay injury-free. I've been going for 3+ months and I'm hooked. I've always maintained a certain level of activity and fitness in my life - playing sports, running, lifting weights at the gym etc - but this is the first time I've truly felt like an athlete. They genuinely want you to succeed in and outside of your workouts and provide help with nutrition among other things. They push you in the WODs but they also know what you're capable of - I love being competitive with myself and being better than I was yesterday. CrossFit Copley provides the perfect outlet for that.
